The Pipe Mill in Omblèze
In the Drôme Valley, in the heart of the Vercors Park
Summer and winter alike, the Vercors, classified as a Regional Park since 1970, is a true paradise for sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, and thrill seekers.
Close to Crest, the Moulin de la Pipe is ideally located for sporting and outdoor activities, whether in groups or with the family:
- Hiking, the Moulin de la Pipe is the starting point for numerous hikes (Grande traversée du Vercors, etc.)
- Climbing (Anse cliff and Omblèze gorges, more than 300 routes)
- Mountain biking and cycling, quad biking, karting
- Whitewater activities (canoeing, kayaking, rafting, etc.)
- Paragliding, hot air ballooning, helicopter flights, microlights, bungee jumping

For swimming, you are spoiled for choice: the Gervanne which flows peacefully in front of our hotel before plunging 72 m high at the Saut de la Druise (without a doubt the most beautiful waterfall in the Vercors offering a breathtaking spectacle) or, a few kilometers away, the Drôme, the Roanne, the Rio Sourd, the Roubion or even the Lac de Bouvante.
With your family, you will enjoy walks with donkeys, mountain biking or orienteering. Along the trails, you will discover magnificent landscapes, exceptional fauna and flora: chamois, deer, roe deer, wild boars, eagles, vultures, salamanders but also a wide variety of orchids. Numerous hikes (Gueulards canyon, Ambel plateau) and craft activities.
But the Vercors and the Drôme Valley are also a culture, a history, a heritage... atypical, magnificent hilltop villages, remarkable sites to visit such as the Léoncel Abbey (12th century), the famous Crest Tower, the highest keep in France, the castles of the Drôme, the prehistoric caves of Choranches or Luire, the Palais du Facteur Cheval... and craft activities to discover, visit a honey house, an organic chocolate factory or a cellar...
One thing is certain, there is no shortage of activities around the Moulin de la Pipe!
